چکیده

This paper is focused on the stability of nchannel laser-crystallized polysilicon thin-fi lm transistors (TFTs) submitted to a hydrogenation process during the fabrication and with small grains dimension. With the aid of numerical simulations, we investigate the effects of static stress using two types of procedures: the on stress and the hot carrier stress. Results show that the variations of trap state density into the whole polysilicon layer and not only near the drain junction are responsible for the degradation of TFTs performances in both the two types of stress and that the interface trap states play a negligible role compared to the bulk trap states.

Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) has low power consumption and high density and regularity. QCA widely supports the new devices designed for nanotechnology. Application of QCA technology as an alternative method for CMOS technology on nano-scale shows a promising future. This paper presents successful designing, layout and analysis of Multiplexer with a new structure in QCA technique. In thi...

Does a Nanowire Transistor Follow the Golden Ratio? A 2D Poisson-Schrödinger / 3D Monte Carlo Simulation Study

In this work, we observed the signatures of isotropic charge distributions showing the same attributes as the golden ratio (Phi) described in art and architecture, we also present a simulation study of ultra-scaled n-type silicon nanowire transistors (NWT) for the 5nm CMOS application. Our results reveal that the amount of mobile charge in the channel is determined by the device geometry and co...

Quantum Interference Control of Ballistic Magneto- resistance in a Magnetic Nanowire Containing Two Atomic- Size Domain Walls

The magnetoresistance of a one-dimensional electron gas in a metallic ferromagnetic nanowire containing two atomic-size domain walls has been investigated in the presence of spin-orbit interaction. The magnetoresistance is calculated in the ballistic regime, within the Landauer-Büttiker formalism. It has been demonstrated that the conductance of a magnetic nanowire with double domain walls...

A Hybrid Schrödinger/gaussian Beam Solver for Quantum Barriers and Surface Hopping

In this paper, we propose a hybrid method coupling a Schrödinger solver and the Gaussian beam method for the numerical simulation of quantum tunneling through potential barriers or surface hopping across electronic potential energy surfaces. The idea is to use a Schrödinger solver near potential barriers or zones where potential energy surfaces cross, and the Gaussian beam method–which is much ...

Asymptotic Behavior to the 3-d Schrödinger/hartree Poisson and Wigner Poisson Systems

Using an appropriate scaling group for the 3-D Schrödinger–Poisson equation and the equivalence between the Schrödinger formalism and the Wigner representation of quantum mechanics it is proved that, when time goes to infinity, the limit of the rescaled self-consistent potential can be identified as the Coulomb potential. As a consequence, Schrödinger–Poisson and Wigner–Poisson systems are asym...
